From Linda Brady's Discovering Your Soul: How to Use Karmic Astrology to Create the Life You Want, I made a mistake on Barrack Obama's soul pattern. It is Aquarius, the same as mine. One's soul pattern is from a former life. I was wrong to say Obama betrayed his soul pattern.

Barrack Obama was born in a generation whose soul pattern was under the sign of Aquarius. His soul potential was Leo. Those born in my generation, the same as Obama, had the soul pattern of Aquarius when born. The same as Obama's generation, the soul potential in my generation was Leo. The soul pattern in the sign of Aquarius has the following energies: overly logical, too detached, too detracted, oblivious, intolerant, meddlesome, remote, repressed, impersonal, radical. The karmic mission is to overcome these energies. In one's soul potential, the energies for Leo are as follows: whimsical, self-confident, leader, dramatic, generous, fun-loving, courageous, commanding, exuberant, inspiring, dignified, influential, willing to act. Obviously, Obama has lived up to his soul potential far better than have I.

Obama's Mercury is in Cancer. He sees the world through the eyes of an emotionally sensitive cosmic nurturer and mother. Obama is a sensitive listener, always paying close attention to his emotional environment. If what he hears doesn't match with his emotions, he often ignores. There are moments when Obama can lose his emotional identity because of his highly developed empathy to others, leaving him contradictory.

Obama comes from a generation in which Pluto was in Virgo. Brady says Obama was a God-like healer, well ordered and structured. Everyone needed Obama. He could do no wrong. Obama's mission was to be a perfect healer, but one day he did something imperfect. He made a mistake that cost someone his life, someone who had placed his trust in Obama. Terror in making a mistake, no matter how small, keeps Obama overly cautious. Guilt also creates a strong need to do service, but he does not derive any satisfaction from it unless he performs flawlessly. Poor Obama! His Mercury is in Cancer.

My Mercury is in Virgo. I perceive the world through the eyes of an organizer. I consider myself the right person to create a systematic environment. I want to maintain high standards through reason, logic, and methodical analysis. I'm exacting and seek to bring coherence to the world. Although my soul potential is Leo, I'm not trying to grab center stage. That's the way it is. Each of us have our strengths and weaknesses.

My Mars is in Virgo. This means I need to establish order and high standards. I would be efficient in logic, with the ability to analyze.

Mars in Aquarius gives us the desire for independence. There will be a trend in unusual and unorthodox courses of action to achieve universal truths. Those born on May 4 and lasting until November 6 in the year 1971, an extended period of time due to the retrograde motion of Mars leaves a number of people born during the period. This group of souls, with the special abilities of Mars in Aquarius, and trine to Uranus in Libra, will spearhead a new way of life.

During the above mentioned period, my transiting Uranus, my ruling planet, had moved into a position opposed to its position at the time of my birth. This would come as a strong need to change my life. In 1975, I departed my old life, seeking a new, more fulfilling life. When I went on my own, I mentally joined the special group inspired to produce a balance of social concepts and the action necessary to implement them. Many others are joining this group of world-changers. In our future, it will not be the Leo influence that directs our lives. Coercive government will be replaced by perfunctory government. Cooperative associations through a network economy will be the principle way a worldwide society of advanced beings will at last bring the world to its intended course.
