The Right to Life

Posted on Jan 14th, 2009 by inlink : peacemaker inlink

I'm reading Mike Huckabee's Do the Right Thing. Huckabee presents his opposition's argument on the right to life as, "Amazingly, while those on the left generally seek to use science as their argument to scoff at the notion of God's having a role in Creation (or even His existence), on this issue they had to completely sacrifice science for their own selfish stand. I agree with much of Huckabee's logic. On the right to life issue, I have my own unique position.

The arguments for and against the right to life have needlessly and irresponsibly brought deep divisions in America. The American people have the silly misconception that the workings of the universe do not have anything to do with our lives; we are isolated in a timespace consortium of our own making. Actually, we've not moved from the religious notion of the Dark Age that Earth is the center of the universe and God's rule centers on Earth. The right to life and the notions of God's rule is purely irresponsible and dangerous emotionalism.

Were Earth slightly closer to the sun, life could not exist. Were Earth sightly smaller, it could not hold the atmosphere we must have to support life. The universe is hostile to life. Earth is here on a billions to one shot. Currently, man's exploration and control of external nature has outdone his exploration and control of his own nature. In our technocratic American society, nature's law is ignored. And here we are, capable of blowing human life to hell. It's crazy thinking, folks.

At the moment and place of my birth, certain characteristics and events were set up to happen. As we think, so we are; we can make ourselves anything we want. Essentially, since I don't accept Huckabee's notion of God I'm wrong about that. Under the law in America, there is no thought given to a universal, or divine purpose. It is strictly man's purpose, which does not agree with my experience.

As for science, there isn't much difference in my genetics and a fly's genetics. I have the choice of living for my particular purpose in life or to follow the path of least resistence. Thus I'm more than my genetics. If I choose to be, I'm a co-creator. Apart from my genetics, I've an immaterial mind, a boundless state of conscious awareness that Huckabee obviously does not include. If we buy his concept of the right to life, we're confined to his concept of God.

For the first forty-nine years of my life, I following the path of least resistence and failed. I had a bigger than life calling. I discovered the real me during my time at sea. From that point on, my life improved. My bigger than life calling placed me in complete charge of my life. During my time at sea, whether I lived or died depended on me. Huckabee's God was not present. Not only did I survive, but I saved six other lives from a watery grave.

On the other side of the coin, I was born into a two-parent relationship, when the word "married" meant a man and woman joined in holy wedlock. My mother took good care of herself during her pregnancy. She bonded with me. In all of my youth, my mother was there for me. My father was the sole breadwinner. The divorce rate was a tiny fraction of today's rate of divorce. There were no drop-outs in my schools. The individual was ahead of social engineering. In my youth, the family was America's cornerstone. Today, the right to life in America depends on society. American society has drifted away from principles that never change.

I came into this life with a karmic mission. Before birth, I was dependent on my mother's mission in life. Had she been on drugs, my mentality would have been affected. Had she lived recklessly, she might have perished, and me along with her. Actually, I had no right to life, and could have been placed in life a victim of my mother's abuse of herself, and if not that her irresponsibility.

The law in practice in America does not encourage personal responsibility. It encourages social responsibility and fails miserably. The law in practice places the cart before the horse. If we are thought to have a right to life from conception, America's social order does not support the notion. There is no meeting of the minds. In America, a mindless division is growing by leaps and bounds. A house divided cannot long stand. Get ready for a drastic change.

Little known at this time, quantum physics is about to discover the why of everything. We are entering a new age, when man makes a quantum leap forward. From several sources, the prediction is that we are at the threshold of doomsday. In my individual case, it was the end of an old life that failed because I followed the path of least resistance. We've reached the end of the line, and not willing to face the fact, clamoring for a bailout. No, we don't have a right to life.

The beginning of a new life, a far better life, happened because I went out on the limb to pick the fruit. We are individually looking at a worthless life, so where do we get the notions that we are government entitled or have a right to life?

This is a wake up call. It is ridiculous to say you are entitled to anything at all. It is insane to say anyone has a right to life whatever the case may be. You have a right to a good life. It's your choice. Chance favors the prepared mind. It all begins with you. Look within for your answers.
