The Making of New Age Man, Chapter X, cont3
Brother, can you spare a dime?
A God for New Age Man
I've learned through the school of hard knocks what it means to be an American. It is spelled out in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. The American people were divided over slavery. The Taney Court sided with the South, forcing Abraham Lincoln, who happened to be a Republican, to call the South's hand. Slavery, by the way, was an economic issue. The South claimed it could not survive without it. America's Constitution clearly states that all Americans are equal, not equal in government guarantees, but in opportunity. America is as divided today as she was prior to the Civil War. It's government guarantees that divide the people, robbing Peter to pay Paul. Now it's government entitlements we can't do without. The Republican party has come a long way in the wrong direction since Lincoln. The country is now as divided as it was in Lincoln's day. We didn't learn.
Redistribution of the wealth is America's bone of contention. Who among us is qualified to decide who gets what? How is America's head of the national family's income derived? Uncle Sam's pay check comes from the taxpayers. He hands it out according to which group has the most political clout. In case you didn't know it, some of us, America's entry level workers, are sucking hind tit. So what do we do? We entitle them. Green cards and green stamps have something in common. We don't like that. It goes against our principles. This is the land of opportunity, not government guarantees. Taxes caused me to be locked out of my pad. Down the street, there was a mile long food stamp line. You have to understand that we pay in one way or another for America's fruit pickers. It is all a government instigated shell game. Quit complaining and do the right thing. Ride the instigators out of office on a rail.
During the Great Depression, when a third of America's work force was jobless, Roosevelt and the Democrats forced a change in the Constitution. They implemented massive individual grants in aid, later to be called government entitlements. The depression ended with World War II but government entitlements grew like Jack's bean stalk. The American people took the government bate, hook, line, and sinker. Besides skyrocketing taxation and inflation, the American people have voted themselves a $9.5 trillion national debt, not to mention being individually in debt up to their eyeballs. Thank you, President Bush!
We've gone to such an extreme with Bush as our head of the house that national bankruptcy looms. Bush's name for his extravagance is compassionate Republicanism. Actually, it is mindless squandering of our rights and responsibilities. Instead of implementing a cure for our addiction, Bush supplied us with more dope, all in the name of help for the economy. For what we've gained we are in debt. We're worse off than before he took office. Compassionate Republicanism is actually leftist, downright socialistic with a Republican twist. So lets get our act together. No way is John McCain ninety percent for Bush's policy. The leftist press is kicking its own rear.
Bush's answers should tell the American people that we can't depend on government to manage our finances. But no, now we've got a new head of the house running for president who wants to raise taxes and spending. It is our addiction, folks. We've gone bonkers.
I'd like to mention the will of the people in this can of worms. Reading from the legal brief of Joseph W. Smith, Jr. versus Commissioner of Internal Revenue in the Supreme Court of the United States (case number 1570 in the October term of 1980), in State Board of Education v Barnette, "The very purpose of the Bill of Rights was to withdraw certain subjects from the vicissitudes of political controversy, to place them beyond the reach of majorities and officials and establish them as legal principles to be applied by the courts. One's right to life, liberty, and property . . . and other fundamental rights may not be submitted to vote; they depend on the outcome of no elections."
The American people are not aware that in the Bill of Rights, written into America's Constitution, in Amendment Five, no individual shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law (governmental fairness). The taxpayer has the right to be heard in a meaningful way in a meaningful place. You didn't know that? The IRS called me a "Fifth Amendment freak." My case was already heard in 1946 (Acker v. Commissioner), according to the lawyer for the Commissioner, Solicitor General Wade H. McCree, Jr. Claims the authorities, taxes have not changed so much that the same case should be heard again. The authorities use family income with all of the deductions in their assumption. I was a single with no deductions. Figures don't lie but liars figure. McCree admitted in his brief that the IRS had been mistaken but that the mistake had been corrected. The IRS mistake put me on the street. While the mistake was corrected, only after I took the IRS to court, nothing was done to correct the IRS. The IRS is permitted to make limitless mistakes. You didn't know that? The taxpayer has no more rights than the South's former slaves. Government expedience has not changed one iota. The government, the courts, and the American people, the same as it was when slavery was a matter of policy, look the other way.
I awakened this morning with a strong feeling that if we dream of a better world we must realize that we're sitting on shifting sand. Our familiar structure is cracking and will soon crumble. A new more spiritual understanding is in the wind. The controls of our destiny, for authority's own selfish ends, is under growing pressure and the energy is building.
To give taxpayers their right to exist on the fruits of their own labor-and the responsibility-would mean that the whole structure would have to be torn down and rebuilt. The American people prefer the injustice of taxing workers out of existence in order to keep an unjust structure in place.
What, you don't agree with me? What have you personally done to end the deprivation of rights I bring to your attention? Thanks to the leftist press, you see me as someone trying to get out of paying his fair share of the tax burden, don't you? How do you look at people living on the street? Do they deserve to be there? Federal judges, who don't give me the right to live on my own sweat, have ruled that I have a right to live on the street. A president Obama would appoint judges who give taxpayers the right to live on the street. In principle, it is no different than slavery. It is all in the record. What a pity that you didn't know that. Someone once said the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
The nation is as divided as it was prior to the Civil War, the American people are every bit as expedient as they were prior to the Civil War. We've got peaceniks on the march whistling Dixie. A house divided cannot long stand. The up and coming presidential election is crucial to America's continued existence. But don't you worry, Barrack Obama has the answer. He claimed that the Republicans never mentioned the economy during their convention. His idea of the economy obviously differs. His concern is for the worker trying to make ends meet, with no more idea of the unjust deprivation I bring to your attention than the man in the moon.
I've not heard Obama mention the IRS. This tinhorn politician claims he is going to cut taxes for 95 percent of America's workers, with a $9.5 trillion national debt. No way, no how. Obama is no better than Bush. He will lead the nation to depression and bankruptcy. But not to worry, Obama and the Democrats, and many me-too Republicans, want America to accept Europe's socialism as the only answer. Is that the change you want? If you think for one minute that the American people think like Europeans, you are looking at another civil war.
John McCain has had a totally different background than his opponent. Obama learned his political stand in a northeastern school of higher learning. He is one of the intelligentsia who dream up a better world and then force the pieces to fit their dream. The airheads have never understood free enterprise. They love socialism. It puts them in control. There went our freedom. A fifth grade education would tell us they are wrong. It takes higher education to learn Obama's dumbed down thinking. The theory is shot through, with many holes. McCain spent six years in a 4x6 cell being brutalized, where he learned to love America for her freedoms. That's reality. If president, McCain would cut taxes and shrink government. So now you have a clear choice, socialism or McCain. He would get government off of our backs. If president, McCain would lead the nation back to sanity and the end of division that comes from the dumbed down thinking of schools of higher learning.
America was the envy of the world. Big government and high tax is the reason America is disliked by much of the world. Big tax, big power, big brother government-socialism-means big corruption. If we Americans want a world at peace, we best put the individual back in the driver's seat.

You express a level of confidence in the ‘latest Republican’ contender which I suspect is poorly placed. I’m fairly sickened by both our political parties. They are both prostitutes for money and votes. The lowest common denominators rise to the top. Mr. McCain’s past accomplishments have been admirable, but his campaign is riddled with lobbiests. Behind him is the savings and loan debacle, the Boeing/AEDS scam and his caving in to the right wing of his party (YES, the same ones who trumpeted GW Bush so very recently!) for the choice of a radical religious VP (banning books, teaching creationism, separatist party affiliation).
But, don’t get me started on the liberal Democrats! However, attacking someone who strived to gain an education, despite a difficult upbringing seems off target. Focus on ideas, not the choice to be educated.
Sorry, to learn of the IRS struggles, … there but by the grace of god go many of us!
Well one thing is for sure, MC Cain is all man and barack is all hot air and flash, I like to call him the flim flam hot air trash can…
He does nothing, nothing, nothing, he is all flash and he has done NADA, will do NADA, and is NADA….
Let mc cain lead the way, he has earned the right to lead with his ACTIONS, not just dreams and rhetoric…
AMERICA will be BETTER with mc cain…that is for sure…no lies, nor rhetoric and flash,
just plain digging in and doing the stuff…he doesn't need our money, he doesn't need our approval, he's already a hero, he only needs like he says, to 'serve'…something obama knows nothing about, and will never have the character and integrity of mc cain…as proven thus far….
he will line his pockets….that is what obama wants, to line his pockets with our money…
pathetic…demonstrations and presentations so far, we can all see right through him, anyone with truth in their bones and light in their eyes will vote mc cain…including me…a democrat who will not lie and wash the sins of the party under the rug…we are blessed finally after many years to have two honest, done to earth people to lead the way of americans back to the ethics and reforms of america…..
Bravo for being the first to comment. I, too, am sicked with both political parties. I was not going to vote until I watched the DNC and RNC.
Yea, let's focus on ideas. Perhaps you are not aware that many of the teachers in our higher schools of learning are the pot smoking, ragtag, vagabond hippies of the sixties, with the American flag sewed on the seat of their pants.
“many of the teachers in our higher schools of learning are the pot smoking, ragtag, vagabond hippies of the sixties, with the American flag sewed on the seat of their pants”
“MC Cain is all man and barack is all hot air and flash”
- I have to admit when I see extreme (all or nothing) statements and overly broad generalizations, it flavors how I perceive even the more thoughtful comments of the writer. We live in a wonderful country, but we have developed some terrible habits. We believe were are more worthy than other people, we are extrodinarily wasteful of the world's resources of minerals, metals and fossil fuels, we expect the government to solve our personal problems, we reward slight of hand more than honest work, we reward tobacco companies who sicken our own citizens and now are in the business of addicting children worldwide to exported tobacco.
Seems like less extreme and more thoughtful comments are more likely to persuade peolpe in the end.
namaste
I agree with you in theory, but in this case the contrast between obama and mc cain is extreme……agreed?
I do think that the two parties want you to think there are extreme differences. Interestingly, former White House press secretary Scott McClellan is “on the fence” as to which of the two he thinks can actually change things in Washington, DC. McCain is entrenched with lobbyists and Obama is much less experienced in the ways of WA DC.
So, perhaps many of the 'exteme differences' are not in things that will really matter to America in the end. Who can change the unsustainable patterns we are in?
God help us, Tom, we can hope. We can hope! I've never in my life been so impressed with a candidate. I've never been so impressed with a vice president elect. I've placed my faith in them. We can only hope these two can turn things around.
