The symbol for Aquarius is the water-bearer. Water is the bearer of life. Without water, life, as we know it, could not exist.
Earth is the only planet in the solar system with abundant surface water, as well as life. Earth, a millions to one shot in a hostile to life universe, supports intelligent life. Why?
We humans are consciously aware of the vastness of the universe, its clockworks movements, its collisions, its gigantic bursts of uncontrolled energy deadly to human life. Yet here we are in this kind of a universe, the product of a billion years of evolvement. Could it not be for a purpose?
A voice in my past, my Sunday school teacher, used to tell me my purpose was to glorify God. When I was a child, I was taught this prayer: "Now I lay me down to sleep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take." When I was a child, I was taught that I was born in sin, and that I must beg God to forgive me. Why? Because the first man on Earth was disobedient to God. What kind of a God would blame an innocent child? This God, man's invention, is responsible for hate and war.
Our God is love and peace. In addition to being physical, we exist in a state of conscious awareness, a state without boundaries, a state we individually control. We either have faith in ourselves or faith in our fathers. Frankly, having looked within, I have my own calling.
Some men of science are consciously aware of far more than meets the eye. They have my attention. Quoting brain doctor and quantum physicist Evan Harris Walker, "Matter, objects-a physical domain exists that is governed by immutable laws. But these laws leave open a range of happenings that are left to the selection of the mind. Behind this selection is the will." What earth-bound authorities are about is turning the individual's will into their wills, stealing the individual's energy.
Another voice of the past, my father, he used to say I asked too many questions. From home authority straight to the army. The army told me I do what I'm told. I don't question my orders. After the army, the IRS forced me to pay a tax I didn't owe. My law dictionary says inalienable rights are those rights incapable of being surrendered or transferred without the consent of the one possessing such rights. The most fundamental of all rights is the right to exist on the fruits of one's own labor. We Americans have lost all of our inalienable rights, exchanged them for a caretaker government, an authority that makes our decisions. No government in history has ever existed long without becoming corrupt. What do we do about it?
To continue with Dr. Walker's belief, "The will works like a communications channel that links all of us to a common control center. Within the power of this combined will lies the power to do essentially anything. . . This is the Omnipresence, the Omniscience, the Omnipotence of Abraham's God, at once personal and supreme. (This isn't what I was taught.) This is the God of our collective will and the collective will of the universe.
We connect with the workings of the brain and consciousness, or, says Dr. Walker, the quantum mind-consciousness merging with the physical. This isn't what I was taught.
We observe, in a state of infinite possibilities, to bring about reality. Without consciousness, without purpose, nothing exists. In this manner, we glorify my God, your God. This isn't what we are taught. We make our world, not the authorities.
Someone once said, the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. When we connect Dr. Walker's thought with cultural historian Richard Tarnas' thought, who, after a 30 year study of planetary alignments and archetypal patterns of human history, found an astonishing connection.
We are led to astrologer James Redfield's thoughts. Redfield, the author of The Celestine Prophecy, sent me his astrological reading of me on an audio tape. It applies to all of us.
Quoting from Redfield's tape, "We are going to take a look at two key aspects of your astrological data, your Sun sign and your Moon sign.We are going to talk about them
archetypically. The emotional issue is pointed out by your Moon sign-how this feels as you go through life-talk about your Sun sign-again archetypically-how you naturally uplift people, to give you some good information as you try to find out what your spiritual mission is."
"We have a new image of what it means to be a human being, how to think of ourselves as growing, evaluating, understanding, that we can connect with our God-self energy. You grow in a Virgo way. Virgo is that part of us that is oriented toward conscientious work. At first unconsciously-and everyone has a different way of reacting-the object is to bring into consciousness the reactions and determine whether or not the reaction is mature or immature-when we can step back and look at our higher self, when need becomes strength."
"The Vigo ego integration with higher self, and the higher self perspective is going to be defined along the lines of the Virgo archetype, which is, of course, our need for organization: to be effective, to be conscientious about making things better."
"We all start at immature levels of ego functions. We have a sense of security based on how much we feel in charge of our lives. We want to keep the idea that things are going fine. We have goals we want to achieve. We need to manipulate things to keep everything just right. We need to keep this allusion for security purposes. If new information comes in, we can act defensively. We don't want information that rocks the boat."
"What happens is that this allusion, based on security control, has to shift to our inner connection, our God-self force that gives us a sense of well being no matter what's going on out there. We have to make that opening on the inside."
"As you get in touch with your inner energy and start to get in touch with your higher self, you will be guided into how to find that true work expression. It will be shown to you intuitively. This becomes the way you uplift everyone who comes into your life. When you evolve into your higher self you energize those who cross your path. This becomes your greatest talent."
When the sign of the water-bearer is on the ascendant of their chart, astrologers say the individual has a unique approach to life. I'm a Virgo with Aquarius on my ascendant. H.G. Wells, author of the future, was Virgo with Aquarius on the rise.
Astrologer Jeanne Avery says, "The person with Aquarius on the rise can be very avant-garde. He is a forerunner in setting style, discovering new methods, and showing the rest of humanity the way. He may be especially enlightened, metaphysical, scientific, and inventive. He can be like a rolling stone, gathering no moss. He is a chance-taker."
Astrologers use the time and place of birth to give us our heavenly address, our origin. I was born on September 17, 1925 at 4:21 PMCST in Houston, Texas. Coincidentally, I was born in the month and year Werner Heisenberg, a physics student in Germany, published his famous scientific paper, the uncertainty principle, which later became known as quantum mechanics.
Heisenberg was Hitler's atom bomb builder. The allies bombed his plant down. I was on the high seas heading for the invasion of Japan when the U.S. dropped two atom bombs on Japan. It brought World War II to an end and opened Pandora's Box.
I'm a child of the atomic age. My mission is to bring the world's attention to the fact that we have a choice. As beings in God's image, whoever thought this? We can end our purpose of being and become history written in the rocks. Or, we can cross the threshold to a far greater reality. We have unlimited power, both individually and collectively. Did not God give us dominion over our world?
As a member of the Gaia Community, my mission is to change the world. As an individual, my karmic mission, according to my astrological configuration: (The Astrologer's Handbook) "They are able to work slowly and make fundamental and irrevocable changes in their own and others' lives. Often there is a sense of destiny or a peculiar karmic mission which they must fulfill."
As a Gaia Community ambassador, let me repeat that our Gaia Community vision is to create a global community of like-minded people-a force for positive change. Positive change can come about with one on one communication. The Age of Pisces, the symbol of which is two fish swimming in opposite directions, is history. We are entering the Age of Aquarius, an age of communications, an age of creative expression, an age of service, an age of friendship. Aquarians possess a deep sense of personal responsibility and determination to find their destiny. The Gaia Community has the tools, the resources, and the will. We are the change!
