Let's Put Planet Earth in Perspective

Mindbody_1_

Looking back at my 82 years here, I recall times when if anything could go wrong it did, and other times when I went out on a limb for the fruit and everything went right. I maintain there is a reason for it. But the reason is so far out of mainstream thinking that hardly anyone can grasp where I'm going. Nevertheless, here as an embassador for change-and I base my position on proven facts-I feel compelled to keep plugging away at my perceptions.

I've learned from quantum physics, the study of the smallest of excitations, that time and space are relative to events-from the smallest to the largest, all in one contiguous mold. Along with physical events goes the qualitative, a state of being. States don't have physical boundaries. We exist in a state of mind. Knowing this, quantum physics, more lately, has given to the physical mix a state of conscious awareness.

Quantum applies to subatomic particles, the aspects of matter. Until observed, they exist in a state of infinite possibility. Our reality requires observation. We observe the abstract. From shapeless ideas, we give figure and form. In other words, our world is what we make it. We are a self-fulfilling prophecy, individually, as society.

Quantum physics takes matter apart and puts it back together in ways that increases man's control over nature, unfortunately, in such things as atomic weapons. Our human consciousness plays the major role in our existence. In fact, we humans control all life on the planet. Notwithstanding all-encompassing love, our emotional understanding of God, quantum physics brings to bear scientific understanding of the higher laws of nature. We continually discover that our emotions, the law of the land, and science are all inseparable under one universal law. We've yet to discover that quantum physics connects the quantitative with the qualitative, giving mankind the potential for not yet realized accomplishments.

Who or what stands in our way? The chance of random events causing it all is trillions to one. What else but a super-consciousness of the universe makes events occur in time and space, events that placed our planet and created life as we know it? They say nothing ventured nothing gained. In my case, the only thing stopping me was lack of belief in myself. Now, in the twilight of my life, it doesn't get any better than this.

America's Imperialistic Image

I submit that if we are created in the image of our maker we don't need external control. In fact,  The Holy Bible begins with God creating heaven and earth. I accept that God made man in our image (Gen. 1:26), I repeat, in our image, "after our likeness; and let them have dominion . . ." Pray tell me, folks, let who have dominion? Our greatest problem started in the beginning-with man's condition-that is, with his relation to God. H ow so our divine  redemption.  From the beginning, ambitious men have continued to convince us we need their control. Somehow, I never followed that thinking. I live by my thinking.  I've learned to live by knowing my mistakes. And I dare say, I would not have made as many mistakes had I listened to my own calling from my beginning.

Jesus said he was going to his father's house to make a place for us. Assuming he was, are we not inner controlled?

Having said this, moving forward from America's Great Depression, and the idea of the Roosevelt Administration that government has a "duty to the individual," we Americans, in 2008, facing an economic decline that is likely to go on for some time-and to grow worse as it progresses, sorry to say, folks, the FED does not have the answers.

Truthfully, the music is about to stop and lots of Americans are going to be left standing. Most unfortunately,  too, they've never thought for themselves,  and they've blamed others for all that has gone wrong.  It's pathetic. Many so-called liberals would be surprised to know the idea behind liberalism.

In Greek city-states, where democracy had its beginning, the Sophists discovered that the democratic process was neither immutable nor invariable. Indeed, they were impelled to the conclusion that justice was either the interests of the strong, or a convention for the sole purpose of expedience. The individual was given no consideration in the past and is not now in America, the home of the brave and the free. The American people exist in a government controlled hothouse.  When one calls himself liberal, to be honest, he must be against the majority rule.

Case in point: In an interview on Meet the Press, Tim Russet asked presidential candidate Ron Paul, since he is against federal income tax, how he would raise the trillion dollars in taxes federal income tax raises. Ron Paul's response was that he would bring all the American troops in foreign lands home, and save the taxpayers as much as the income tax brings, not to mention the other benefits.

America is not the world's policemen. America has turned imperialistic, to other people, the United States, based on the philosophy of a government duty to the individual, has become the world's number one imperialist of all times.

There is no such thing as objectivity. We are all subjective. Given power and control, the first thing we do is wipe out individual rights. Without rights, one is not responsible. America is a repeat of history, the modern day Sodom and Gomorrah

A New Dawn

Sun

My Gaia Community's message to me: "Give Thanks!: You have 90 seeds in your seed bank." As of this writing, my Gaia Community, altogether, has 104,753 seeds in its bank.

I believe I'm made in the image of my creator, with built-in power to cope-if left to my own devices. I believe in myself. I do not need anyone's help. I believe in doing to others that which I would have them do to me. I do not believe in government entitlements. My belief is a long way from America's current mainstream thinking, or so we are told.

In spite of my beliefs, in the dichotomous environment we Americans find ourselves today-when I was a struggling entry-level worker, my after tax wages would not pay for a roof over my head, as a senior citizen my government entitlements allow me to live in a beautiful new home-excessively taxed in order that government might redistribute, I find that government entitlements are one of man's devices designed to steal the individual's energy.

I believe if every individual were educated properly-to know his or her personal energy-there would be no wars, no famine, no disease. I can't prove my theory directly because there has never been a time in human history when we've been properly educated, never a time when we've been educated to look within for our answers. We have always looked to earthly, energy-stealing authorities-the clergy, kings, government-for our answers. Indeed, I'm currently blessed with a beautiful new home, thanks to the taxpayers, but knowing I could have done better for myself if left to my own devices.

My proof is indirect. What I'm saying is what the law of the land says. Black's Law Dictionary: "Testimony not based on actual personal knowledge or observation of the facts in controversy, but of other facts from which deductions are drawn, showing indirectly the facts sought to be proved."

I was a combat infantryman in World War II. I'm one of millions of disabled veterans. Since WW II, America has been involved in the Korean War, the Vietnamese War, Desert Storm, the Iranian War. Not to mention the cost of all these wars, not to mention the cost of all the American police actions around the world, dating back to WW II, America's taxpayers pay the disabled veterans of wars. Where is the sense of all of this? America has turned imperialist. Add to America's imperialism the cost of the number of people being payed to administer all of the above. The bulk of America's tax money, rather than for the benefit of the individual, goes for the aggrandizement of the orthodoxy. When in human history has it been any other way? The wrath of God is strictly manmade.

Under Higher Law, it is the individual's responsibility to know himself or herself. We are made in the image of our maker. The latest scientific discoveries bear me out. Quantum physicist and M.D., Evan Harris Walker, in The Physics of Consciousness: "Materialism in science has served us well. It has enlightened us. It has brought us closer to many truths. But science's investment in materialism has itself turned into a creed, with its own high priests ready to torment the unorthodox."

As further evidence, I submit Reverend C. I. Scofield's thoughts. He was the editor of The Scofield Reference Bible, the most popular Bible in America. In his introduction, he wrote that "all the many excellent and useful editions of the Word of God left much to be desired. . . The saying that ‘anything may be proved by the Bible' is both true and false-true if isolated passages are used; utterly false if the whole divine revelation is in view. . . The Dispensations are distinguished, exhibiting the majestic, progressive order of the divine dealings of God with humanity, ‘the increasing purpose' which runs through and links together the ages, from the beginning of the life of man to the end in eternity."

Pursuant to our "increasing purpose," Cooley's Constitutional Limitations identified due process (governmental fairness) with the doctrine of vested rights drawn from natural law. Man's law and God's law are inextricably intertwined and cannot be conveniently compartmentalized.

Although you never hear my plea from the orthodoxy, belief in self is growing. We're at the threshold of a quantum leap forward. Get over the orthodox idea that you are part of a Newtonian dog and pony show. You were not created to jump through the orthodoxy's hoops. In quantum physics, there is a dimension of infinite possibility, observation, and your reality. Each of us the universe's co-equals, beings of Power, Intelligence and Love, and the lord of his own thoughts-James Allen, As a Man Thinketh-"from the beginning of the life of man to the end in eternity," give thanks! We are made in the image of God.

Circumstantial Evidence

Sailor2

In 1975, I bought a sailboat and spent two years in a sailing adventure in the South Atlantic Ocean. Some of the best sailing in the world is on the Bahamas Banks. In the Bahamas out-islands, I found a people living together harmoniously with practically no government. In contrast with the Bahamas out-islands, America, in spite of growing rules and regulations that deprive her people of their personal freedoms, suffers from the lawless, the irresponsible, and from foreign aggression.

During my two-year sabbatical at sea, I found the real me. Unfortunately, it so happens that if personal experiences such as mine do not fit with establishment whims, we call it anecdotal. The establishment conveniently rejects it. The establishment calls my experiences interesting and amusing. For the same reason, the establishment calls UFOs weather balloons, flights of geese, or swamp gas. The establishment clings to its power. In the law, circumstantial evidence puts people behind bars, even when no smoking gun is found. Compare circumstantial evidence-no personal knowledge of the facts in controversy, but of other facts from which deductions can be drawn-with countless personal experiences involving extrasensory perception such as mine.

We are consciously aware of more than the eye sees, but dumbed down to ignore our personal power. While at sea, I learned personal power I never knew before. When everything should have gone wrong, everything went right-when it was just God and me.

Fundamental to the law, we are created with reason and logic. We live in a largely naturally controlled environment that allows life as we know it. For political reasons, however, it is being hammered into us how we are destroying the environment. A variable environmental process has been ongoing for millions of years.

Often emotions sidetrack reason and logic. People don't think about it, but for the most part the universe is uncontrolled energy. And now comes Quantum reality. Quantum mechanics finds that there is no such thing as the objectivity the establishment imposes on the individual. Quantum physicist Evan Harris Walker: "Matter, objects-a physical domain exists that is governed by immutable laws. But these laws leave open a range of happenings that are left to the selection of the mind. . . we exist as something more than pieces of matter. In the development of quantum theory, the observer emerges as a co-equal in the foundry of creation. . . the tests of Bell's theorem have shown us that objective reality as it has been conceived is not the true fabric of reality. The observer interacts with matter. Consciousness, the substance of this new-found reality that defines the observer, has fundamental existence. It is the quantum mind that is the basic reality. It is the mind of God, the mind of man that keeps us, not power politics.

An opening thought of the Bible: "And the earth was without form . . ." An idea, having no form by itself, but giving figure and form to shapeless matter, becomes the manifestation. Plutarch (40-120 A.D.), a Greek priest and leading thinker in his day. In an otherwise hostile universe, on Earth we have the mind of man, the mind of God. The Bible goes on to say in Gen. 1:26, "And God said, Let us make man in our image." Like I say, the Bible says God gave man dominion over all life on the planet, and then disputes itself in the temptation of Eve. The benevolence of God did not include making man the master of his own fate. The Bible becomes the thoughts of ambitious men. I beg to differ with ambitious men. Once I started listening to my inner self, my life started to improve.

When we look for the truth, we take the idea apart and examine all the pieces. The Bible is the story of man's morality, a many splintered thing. To know the full truth about us, we must examine the Bible in its overall context. It starts by giving man dominion. In my view, it ends the same. We are beings with personal power, intelligence, and love. We hold the answer to every situation. We make ourselves whatever we will, individually, as society. It starts with the individual. We either do our own bidding or authority's. There is no question in my mind of which has turned out better for me. To thine own self be true.

About Emotions

Mtp_obama_bitter_080413_300w

Barrack Obama's "bitter" remark gave Hillary Clinton and John McCain political ammunition. The remark: "It's not surprising, then, that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them, or anti-immigrant sentiment, or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." Clinton is calling the remark demeaning. McCain calls it elitist. All three presidential candidates are correct. Our core emotions-anger, fear, joy, sadness-are about control. They show themselves when we do or do not feel in control. Emotions are coordinated responses from certain biological, experiential, cognitive states. The irony of this political flap is that all three presidential candidates are out to control our lives. They seek to steal our individual energy.

I have only my own experience for guidance. When I was at sea, with no distractions, just me, the wind, the water and heavens, emotions did not rule me. God's hand was on my wheel. I was empowered with extrasensory ability. It was mind over matter. When I left the sea, in command of my life, it got better. I found the love that had been missing. For 26 years, my fourth wife and I have lived a charmed life.

My story makes interesting reading. However, rather than look to their God-given powers, most Americans rely on external control. They see it as essential to their well-being. Political action is the result of core emotions. The American people, for the most part, are not aware of their immaterial essence.

Be the Change You Wish For

Tdy_gosk_pope_070710

The most believable person in history was Jesus, who was crucified by the authorities of his day. A Newsweek story informs us that Pope Benedict XVI's visit to the United States will not receive the usual attention from Catholics. He doesn't connect with the American people. The pope, according to Newsweek, says God's truth (as the pope sees it) is the only authority, and that authority requires obedience. Pope Benedict's view is the orthodox view of the Catholic Church. Benedict want's everyone to care about Jesus in Catholic terms. Clearly, he doesn't know how.

Jesus wasn't housed in a palace. Rather than travel in a climate controlled, bullet proof Mercedes "popemobile," Jesus traveled on foot and spoke from hillsides. Pope Benedict and Catholic dogmas place authority higher than hearts and minds. Catholic obedience comes from the story of Adam and Eve's disobedience. We are "born in sin." In my view, people are no longer buying that view. It doesn't lead to peaceful coexistence.

In Cosmos and Psyche, distinguished philosopher and cultural historian Richard Tarnas says it is written in the stars that our world has entered a time of disruption. A agree. Materialism having run its course, from all appearances, it looks like the stars are correct. We are looking more to our spiritual natures for answers. Orthodoxy is out, individualism is in.

Chance Favors the Prepaired Mind

Mountscne

I couldn't bend over in our RV shower to wash my feet. From living in our RV for 9 years, with unwashed feet (there were compensations), to a new home with a jet tub, I pinch myself. Can this be real? I was laying in our jet tub. Instead of looking at a blank wall, I thought about how nice it would be to look at a mural. I viewed hundreds of murals on the Internet and chose the above mountain scene. It was painted by traditional artist Randy VanBeek. Randy was raised in the Pacific Northwest. Coincidentally, we traveled the Northwest in our RV. We parked with such views as this out of our picture window.

Randy's interest was always in traditional realism, so he sought out his own education. His colors, detail, and light are outstandingly good. The time spent in museums in the U.S. and Europe proved invaluable to his artistic development. His work has evolved into a unique style truly his own, but the influence of the masters is very evident in this magnificent mountain scene. .

Besides a place to wash my feet, seriously, there is no better place to meditate than in my jet tub-and very soon looking at Randy's mountain scene mural. From jet tub meditation: "Say I, think of our American environment as that of a hothouse, the establishment turning a value here, pulling a lever there to cure whatever ails us, which leads to personal enslavement. Nazi Germany is an example. I should know. I'm a World War II veteran. In a generation, the same as the German people, the American people have moved toward the center and enslavement."

"When you want to know how a thing works, you take it apart and examine it. We don't think about taking the universe apart, at least not beyond what we can see. Best that we do. I've learned that what we see is by means of photons---subatomic particles, which are made by observation. Before being observed, photons are light waves in a universe of infinite possibility. Before being observed, time and space do not exist. We don't think about such things, but we better start. Many people smell a vast change in the wind. I envision a journey of personal transformation. I perceive that we are about to become part of the galactic community. According to Louis Pasteur, the prepared mind has a far better chance."

"In our manmade hothouse I see, we tend to become stigmatized. What do we know? There is no such thing as quantum objectivity. We are each subjective. We've learned that the physical domain is governed by immutable laws, but we humans are selective. It is not as man has heretofore conceived-for self-serving purposes. No way! Man's objective reality is not our reality. Our reality is the biblical explanation-"Let us make man in our image" (Gen. 1:26)-you are the image of your mind, which operates on a quantum level; that is, reacting with the smallest excitations of the physical. It is the only thing that fits. Rather than matter ourselves, we, in our boundless state of mind, interact with the subatomic particles that go to make matter. We've made our world. We can either save it or lose it."

"It is mind over matter, my Gaia friends. The basis of who we are is set by the limits of our conscious awareness. With the sword of Damocles hanging over us, mankind is about to take a quantum leap forward. In order to face the reality of what is coming, we must be willing to expand our awareness. The advice of our Gaia Community is to be the change. We must change in our core thoughts or be left behind."

The Presidential Election

Prisoner_1_

Subatomic particles, the infinite, light waves, conscious awareness are terms never mentioned by politicians. Nevertheless, these terms play a essential role in our lives.

In November, the American people will pick their next president. In any case, the present system is sure to remain in place. A President Obama would do the most to hasten the day of reckoning.

The polls indicate that the American people prefer big government and big tax. At least for the time being, that benefits me. I'm not a taxpayer; I'm receiving government entitlements. The only question in my mind is how long? We don't have an answer, but the odds are with me and against younger Americans. And, the odds are improving every day for a drastic change, and sooner every year that the present system remains in place.

We, the American people, want cradle to grave security. Politicians call it "take from the rich and give to the poor." It's a bad joke. We are witness to how well that idea is working. The rich are getting richer, the poor poorer, and government stronger and stronger. Might makes right. But who am I? I'm no authority-simply an individual with a mind of my own.

Presidential candidate Ron Paul says that if he were elected he would push to do away with federal income tax and the hated IRS. He maintains that the cost to the American taxpayer of being the world's police force is as much as the United States collects in individual income tax. He wants to bring all of our foreign troops home-take us back to when the American people were more independent and personally responsible. That's the snag.

I ask you: What has our choice of authorities throughout history done for us? I give the present American system of robbing Peter to pay Paul a dozen or so years to go belly up. But one in a "global village," America is due to become a corrupt socialist dictatorship.

Is it not best to take what the authorities say with a grain of salt and look within for our answers? When will we ever learn from past mistakes?

Coincidence, the Spice of Life

Coincidence, the Spice of Life

Given the basis of the universe-The Big Bang Theory, and Einstein's magic formula: energy equals mass times movement squared, uncontrolled energy with no purpose-add consciousness. Consider man's involvement in the making of the planet Earth.

As I've mentioned before, I believe coincidences happen for a reason. A neighbor built a three foot model of a lighthouse and gave it to us for our new home. We had a great location for it above our rock wall. I few days later, our contractor's brother showed up to help in the pouring of our carport slab. He is a poet. He recited his "Lighthouse":

High upon a rocky place,

A lighthouse sends its glow.

Somewhere on a stormy sea,

A ship knows where to go.

Its precious cargo homeward bound,

Will skirt the crashing foam.

A friendly wind will fill its sails,

And send it speeding home.

I too dear Lord have lost my way.

The darkness brings a chill.

The tempest rages all about.

I need a beam as well.

Then somewhere out the boundless deep,

I hear the call to me.

I'll turn to where the compass points,

And find the light in thee.

Ken Harris' poems are published on Google (http://publishmymormonpoetry.com). His "Lighthouse" is a reminder of my mission in life. Without the likes of me, the universe would be without purpose.

What is war but uncontrolled energy? War is man's lust for power. As a veteran of World War II, having experienced the cheapening of life, I'm here with a message of peace.

Coincidentally, when I was forty-nine, I went to sea disillusioned with life, and returned two years later the captain of my ship. By exposing myself to the mystery of the deep, I discovered my true self. I AM THAT I AM., with reason, purpose, and love, an image of my creator. When I left  the ratrace, I was strictly on my own. In a tempest, with God's hand on my wheel, I performed a miracle. I brought myself and crew safely home.

The odds would say my fourth attempt at marriage would end in failure. I emerged from the sea to find the love of my life. We've been living in wedded bliss 26 wonderful years. My life is vastly better than it was before my experience at sea.

Coincidentally, John Newton's youth was marked with a lack of moral control. Newton became captain of a slave trading vessel. He found God in a storm at sea and became a Methodist minister. He wrote "Amazing Grace."

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
That sav'd a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

Compassionate Government

Mtp_obama_bitter_080413_300w
You want to call it compassionate government, go ahead and continue to vote for the biggest frauds in history.

We had sold our home in Florida in 1999 and retired. We purchased a 32 foot fifth wheel coach. Our plan was to make home wherever we were. However, when we dropped our landing gear in Big Valley Woods in August 2007, we decided this was to be our last move. Big Valley Woods is a unique manufactured home park, with RV sites as well. We're located in the tall timber between Portland, Oregon and Mt. Hood. Portland is home to my wife, Karen. She has two sons, a daughter, grand kids and a great granddaughter living in the area.

In mid-November 2007, now that she was back with her family , Karen said she found it hard to think about living in a trailer the rest of her life. Actually, she was hoping against dwindling hope that my claim of being permanently unemployable due to a war related injury would be approved by the Veteran's Administration. It had been a year and three months since I submitted the claim.

A week after Karen's remark, we received notice that the Veteran's Administration had approved my claim. It would be retroactive to the date I made the claim, which meant that I would receive a substantial down payment on a home in Big Valley Woods.  Karen's remark had turned into a prophecy.

We had not found a suitable home for sale in Big Valley Woods, nor had we found a suitable site for a new manufactured home. We were frustrated.  On January 1, 2008, a nice day for a walk in the 250 acre Big Valley Woods, on my walk I discovered a great site for our home. A house had been removed from the site. Was it the luck of the Irish?

On January 2, we reserved the site and bought our new home from a model on the same day. A dream come true, we moved in on March 15. What do you make of it?

Let me help you. For background, on October 12, 1943, less than a month after my eighteenth birthday, I stepped off an army bus onto Army Air Corps' Shepherd Field for 30 days of basic infantry training, according to the plan laid out for me by the U.S. Army when I volunteered. After 90 days of said training, the Army Air Corps broke their promise to me. They announced that no more air cadets were needed. I had volunteered as an air cadet trainee.  They could not wait to take me. Why? I volunteered to fight for liberty and justice.  In every way, I was U.S. Government Issue. This is why we have wars.  Government takes all our rights if allowed.

They sent me to England for reclassification. I was reclassified clerk typist. No clerk typists were needed, so I did nothing for a full year in England but drink "mild and bitters"---and gain 40 pounds. And then the U.S. Army finally found a job for me, that of combat infantryman. They sent me to the front, which was just east of the Rhine River in Germany at the time. For shame! The U. S. Army issued me British Hobnail boots because they didn't have any American combat boots with Neoprene souls. The Germans wore hobnail boots. On my first night at the front in early March 1945 my own troops tried to kill me.

At my insistence, the bumbling fools of the U.S. Army came to their senses. They located American combat boots for me, undoubtedly, from someone who didn't need them anymore.

Germany surrendered in early May 1945, after killing hundreds of thousands of my buddies. Given my experience, one wonders. Three days after the war in Germany ended, the U.S. Army elected to send me to fight in the Pacific theater, on the way allowing me 30 days leave at home in Dallas, Texas. The U.S. Army threw me in the Dallas City Jail, with the drunks. I was at a drive-in with my girlfriend having a coke. An MP ordered me out of my car and took me to jail, after I'd been overseas fighting for liberty and justice. I didn't know about the 10 PM curfew in Dallas. Keep in mind that I was Government Issued to a government as compassionate as a snake in the grass.

So what is going on? The United States of America, in payment for "a day that will live in infamy;" that is, for the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, dropped a couple of atomic bombs, in the process frying hundreds of thousands of Japanese people. It took that to end the war, while I was on the high seas heading for the invasion of Japan. I'm glad it was the Japanese, not me who was killed. Eight months in the Army of Occupation in Japan and then honorably discharged.

Why did the U. S. Army give me a phony promise to get me in. The American people gave me a free college education for my trouble. Please don't connect the two. During my time in the U.S. Army, with zero rights, my life was worth very little.

After World War II, I became a successful businessman for 25 years. A calloused government, bought and paid for by the high and mighty, manipulated in blind ignorance of the free market. Government changed the distribution of goods from independents to the biggest corporations in the world, which put independents out of business, including me.

So, thanks to government manipulation, out of business, and going through a divorce, I was flat broke and working on an entry-level job at night. I came home from work to find the lock on my door changed. The fact is that I could not pay my rent on my after tax income. I could have paid were it not for withholding tax. In addition, the lawless IRS made one mistake after another. They took my grocery and rent money. It took 10 years to get my property back.

Are the American taxpayers not being taken down a garden path? Louis Pasteur said chance favors the prepared mind. Sociologist Robert K. Merton is credited with coining the expression "self-fulfilling prophecy" and formalizing its structure and consequences. In his book Social Theory and Social Structure, Merton gives us this:

The self-fulfilling prophecy is, in the beginning, a false definition of the situation evoking a new behavior which makes the original false conception come 'true'. This specious validity of the self-fulfilling prophecy perpetuates a reign of error. For the prophet will cite the actual course of events as proof that he was right from the very beginning."

It fits them like a hand in a glove! Your government has given you a self-fulfilling prophecy: Failure! War!

Quantum physicist Evan Harris Walker has found verifiable evidence that we are co-creators in the foundry of creation.

Then we have the One Hundred Monkey theory, evidence that if enough people think a certain way everyone will think the same.

We've become dependent on others. We now have every reason, as well as the personal resources, to depend on ourselves. Perhaps it will take years of five dollar a gallon gasoline for the needed change to come about.
