Love

Having someone to love and being loved, to this three time loser, is the greatest blessing that can be bestowed on a man.

From my blog, "Can We Predict Our Future," I received from Obi this comment: "I don't know what to say about this yet but it's definitely got me thinking." From Alison Mackie, this email: "Love your way."

Love is a much used word here on our Gaia Community. The latest scientific theory, we read, holds that at the instant of its birth the universe was numerically 1. As it expanded, other aspects appeared, science has learned from its study of the microcosmic. If you want to know how something works, you take it apart. I'm speaking in terms of our sensibilities. Our sensibilities do not directly know the microcosmic. We use atom smashers and high math, and more lately circumstantial evidence that says something is true beyond a reasonable doubt.

Given that something is true beyond a reasonable doubt, we are individually at 1 with the beginning 1. In the time-space universe there is order. Somewhere between the beginning 1 and today's macrocosmic we create our reality, individually and as society.

At mid-life, my reality changed. I became capable of loving and being loved. How? On my own, I searched for a better life. In Numerology and The Divine Triangle, 1 "is the pioneer, striking out alone, seeking the experience which will establish its distinct identity. It is in the process of discovering its own abilities. It is raw energy, positive, original and creative. . ."

"2 is the pair, the duo. It is changeable and adaptable and can also be indecisive. It is the agent, the go-between, the diplomat and peacemaker, because unity can only be accomplished through a meeting of the minds, a compromise on each side. 2 represents the female principle of receptivity, the yin which seeks a union of two distinct entities. . ."

Two weeks after wife number three walked out, Karen, my wife of twenty-seven years, entered my life. I knew she was meant for me, and I for her, the instant we met.

"3 combines the qualities of 1 and 2. It is a fascinating and diversified vibration, carrying the qualities and manifestation and self-expression. The ion, which sprang into existence from 0, sought to assert its individuality under 1 and felt the attraction of others under 2, now awakens to its need for social interaction. . . . 3 is the extrovert whose personal magnetism draws others and inspires them to expand and grow."

James Redfield, author of The Celestine Prophecy, sent me an audio tape which agrees with "the extrovert whose personal magnetism draws others and inspires them to expand and grow."

He said this: "As you get in touch with your inner energy and start to get in touch with your higher self, you will be guided into how to find that true work expression. It will be shown to you intuitively. This becomes the way you uplift everyone who comes into your life. When you evolve into your higher self you energize those who cross your path. This becomes your greatest talent."

From Astrologer's Handbook, under "Saturn Trine Pluto," "this trine gives the natives the ability to understand the laws by which subtle forces are organized . . . They are able to work slowly and make fundamental and irrevocable changes in their own and others' lives." When I was born Saturn was trine Pluto.

The cycles of my life leave me now in 9, "selflessness and compassion. Encompassing a love for all, it desires to apply its energy to universal service. It bestows an impersonal but just view of life, one that is generous, benevolent and patient. This is the artist and thinker who has developed skills through the preceding cycles and is now ready to share his or her knowledge with the rest of the world. . ."

The first 49 years of my life ended in failure. From then on, my life has had its ups and downs. Looking back, there were times when if anything could go wrong it did, other times when things should have gone wrong but went right. It seems that we each have a path of destiny. When we wander from it, Murphy's law applies.

Numerology gives us a personal number. Mine is 7. "You are here to use and to develop your mind. Your words should be full of wisdom when you decide to talk. Your strong intuition helps in any line you choose and gives insight when needed. . . You should learn to spend time by yourself, in the woods or by the seashore, where you can get in touch with your inner self and your deepest thoughts because your destiny is to use your mind."

Fate brought Karen and I to the tall timber 30 miles east of Mount Hood, Oregon, where we plan to spend the rest of our lives in the home of our dreams. Beyond a reasonable doubt, everything is in divine order.
