Turning Ancient Myth into Reality

Prisoner

Yesterday, I learned that Richard Tarnas, in his Cosmos and Psyche, put the cart before the horse in his Copernican revolution theory. We are not aware, as he says we are, of our being insignificant specs in a vast universe. While learning that Earth is not the center of the universe, we also learned that Earth is the only place in the universe we know of that is friendly to life as we know it. We should know from this it must be for some bigger than life purpose.

I'm happy to see that Tarnas is back on track by the time he gets to The Interior Quest, the inner history of civilization. Now he is talking about me. After six years of thinking and writing my memoirs, I've made a startling discovery: control or sex, the beast in me, which is the strongest drive? The animal drive in humans for power and control stands out in human history as claims of territorial rights, moral authority, totalitarianism, various hierarchies and pawns, the so-called pecking order.

The fight or flight response in man is quite different than in animals. In animals, their nervous systems prepare them to fight or run for the their life. Human nervous systems work the same as in animals. Our hearts beat faster; we get a knot in our stomachs; the blood flow, restricted at our extremities, our hands and feet get cold, nutrients are carried to our muscles by dilated blood vessels. Our eyes dilate. While all of this natural reaction is going on in us, we're supposed to do nothing, remain cool and calm, for the sake of our health. That's how much we know. We are sitting ducks on the pond.

             WHO ME?

I take it from the pond in my book of memoirs, to my flight in 1975, to discover a new world, and to a change of character. In 1975, I decided I was not going to take it anymore. This Jonathan Livingston Seagull, realizing the external realities of my life, did something no decent seagull ever does. Knowing the cause of my disillusion, I put my mind to work. After all, that is what distinguishes me as a separate entity. Nonetheless, I found myself in a perilous situation. One does not buck the system without a negative response. I had the choice of rejoining the flock or proceeding with the courage of conviction.

One of my Zaadz friends, "Surely there's a difference between destiny and personality. When we deny our personality, we pay through frustration. However, we could still be hit by a falling tree, or caught up in a mudslide, or hit by someone crossing over the centerline of I5."  Well, choice favors the prepared mind. When everything should have gone wrong, everything went right. When we use our minds, we turn ancient myth into reality.

I'm not aware yet of why, but I subscribed to “feed” today and received a response to my today's blog from my friend Pierre's blog. I like this thought: “Apply nature's laws to life and you have nature on the side of your dream.”

Since retiring, and lots of time to think and write, I've learned, in retrospect, that I've lived and learned. My friend Pierre's blog verifies this. It's the Saturn influence. Saturn is the teacher. We live and learn so we can teach. Pluto, the final disposition, is generational. Astrologers Sakoian and Acker tell me that with my Saturn in favorable angle with Pluto (trine), I would have the ability to understand the laws by which subtle forces are organized.

Richard Tarnas has spent 30 years in meticulous research of planetary alignments and the archetypal patterns of human history. He finds consistent correspondence with us. My book is about me. I've spent six years in research of what is going on in my mind. I find consistent correspondence with my planets. What can be more important research than learning who we are and our purpose? There are too many coincidences in the movements of the planets and our lives to call it coincidence.

Is this yours or from someone else?  I'm confused … sometimes my natural state of be-ing.  Is this from Pierre?

Anyway, it's great.  Thanks for sharing.

Apply nature's laws to life and you have nature on the side of your dream is a Marilyn Ferguson qoute, who is the author of Aquarius Now.  I found the quote on Pierre's blog.
